Abstract: In this 9 page research paper, the writer looks at relevant issues (concerning modernity) for Third World Countries in the past and future as they relate to the Global Community concept. The role of Diaspora traders, ethnic nationalism, Western liberals, imperial rulers, and more are examined as causal factors for the continued slowness of growth in some Third World countries.
